Wetlands
Osaka Nanko Bird Sanctuary is located at the reclaimed land of Osaka Nanko in the inner part of Osaka Bay. There are fishing grounds, waterways, harbor facilities, business areas and residential areas around the site. The Sanctuary’s wetland area that consists of an artificial tidal land and salt marsh play an important role as a stopover for shorebirds in the Osaka Bay.
